The Four Agreements

Be impeccable with your word, words are spells and I cast carelessly for years.

Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. My inbox read it first.

Don't make assumptions. Have the courage to ask. Ninety percent of my fights were fan fiction.

Always do your best, and your best changes when you're tired. The agreement that forgives you.

Domestication: we agreed to be who they said we were. The book is a divorce from that contract.

The parasite feeds on your emotional poison. Naming it starved it.

Your opinion of me is none of my business. Freedoms, four, delivered.

Break the old agreements one by one. Mine took three years and one divorce from LinkedIn.

Heaven on earth is a choice, not a place. Short book, long leash.

Carried out of it: four sentences to unlearn a childhood. Worth every reread.
