A Man Called Ove

Ove checked the rules before he died, and the cat and the neighbors broke them daily. Gratefully.

Parvaneh learned to drive a trailer and unlearned grief. Best driving lesson ever printed.

Sonja saw the library under his silence. One reader was enough.

The white shirts and the committee meeting. Bureaucracy lost to a wheelchair and one angry widower.

The cat adopted him the way storms adopt coasts. Resistance was decorative.

He built the ramp before he could admit he cared. Carpenters grieve in lumber.

Three hundred people at the funeral. The man who checked rules was remembered for his exceptions.

Carried out of it: show up for the grumpy ones. They're usually carrying something heavy.
